Who Should Open A Vendor Account?

A vendor’s account can be opened by an existing customer or a new user who just wants to use the site to sell products. Vendors that are 17 years and younger can use the service with the help of parents or a guardian.

How To Open A Vendor Account?

Click on “Register” located to the top right side of the computer screen from there if you already have an account with the event site just log in, otherwise fill in the account information and select vendor. A email will be sent to support, notifying them about your request to be a vendor. If required, you may be asked to provide proof of registration for your business with documentation such as Business Bank Statement or Business Tax Number. Note that it may take a few minutes to 48 hours for you to get a response if your request was accepted or rejected.

What Are Culturesquare.Com Banned Items?

https://stores.culturesquare.com prohibits the following items that should not be sold in any circumstances on its platform due to legal reasons. Any vendor that violates these restrictions will be banned indefinitely. Here is a list of prohibited items:

  1.        Alcohol
  2.        Guns
  3.       Tobacco
  4.        Fresh Fruits and Vegetables
  5.        Animals
  6.        Prescription Drugs
  7.        Other illegal Items (stolen goods, marijuana etc.)

How To Cancel My Vendor’s Account?

To cancel a vendor account is easy. Email support@culturesquare.com and mention your desire to opt out of a vendor account. One of our personnel will reach out to confirm that your vendor account was removed from the system. Note that once your account is deleted, some of your items may still show up for sometimes before they are completely removed.

How Many Items Can I Sell?

Culturesquare.com has unlimited virtual shelf space, this means you can sell as many items as you want across all categories.

How Do I Get Access To Sales Revenue?

All vendor’s account are designed in such away the vendor will be able to track each order and know who made it, how much it cost when and where it will be shipping. culturesquare.com has inbuilt analytics that can perform complex computation so that vendors should only be focused on promoting their products and increase their profit margin. After signing in, just click on your name and under customer info, click on vendor dashboard.

How Do I Know I Made A Sale?

Once an order is place, an email notification will automatically be sent out from the system advising you on the next action to take. The order would need to be to confirmed by the system before a vendor proceed to shipping the item(s). 

When Should Ship A Sold Item?

Vendors are not allowed to ship an item without receiving a confirmation email to do so from the system. This helps the system with monitor fraudulent transactions and charge backs

How Are Transaction And Service Fees Calculated?

There are 4 fees that will be factored out before a vendor file for withdrawal and once an order is confirmed and complete. These fees are as follows:

  1. Transaction Fee: This is a fee that Stripe Payment Processing Service charges to process Payment. This fee is currently 2% of the total cart value at checkout plus 30 Cent.
  2. Service Fee: This is a fee that culturesquare.comcharges for being a market facilitator. This fee is currently 9% of the total cart at checkout across board.
  3. Tax fee: this fee can only apply if the vendor has established nexus with customer’ state. By law culturesquare.comhas a market facilitator is allowed to withhold the tax paid on the product buy the customer during the sale of the item(s). Most sales taxes are 6% in United States. Other countries will have different rates and law governing taxation.
  4.  Shipping fee: This fee is paid by the buyer and is not subtracted from the total cart value. This money will be remitted to the vendor together with the sales revenue minus transaction, service and tax fees.

How Can A Vendor Make A Withdrawal After Sales?

Once the order has been confirmed and products shipped to customers and the customer has received the tracking number. The system will make the sales revenue available for withdrawal. Note that some withdrawal can take longer depending on return policy window. Customer may decide to return the bought item within the return window, and we want to make sure that there is enough cash into the vendor’s account to process the refund if requested.

What Happen If A Customer Returns An Item After A Withdrawal?

If an item is returned and there no enough cash fund in a vendor’s account, culturesquare.com system will put an hold on upcoming sales to recoup the cash refunded to customer

Does It Cost To Withdraw Sales Revenue

Yes, one withdrawal cost 0.50 cent per transaction. We advise to vendors to pick a withdrawal window frame of 1 to 2 weeks, meaning every week or two, vendor can withdraw sales cash from their culturesquare.com account to their personal bank account.
