The Secret of Luminaries

This book is about Bianca, a young albino girl who went through many trials and tribulations on the streets of Africa just because she looked different. She was born with albinism a condition that affects her sight and skin pigmentation. Her mother who died while delivering her, spent all her life as a prostitute, thus prompting midwives to think that Bianca might have been conceived out of the union of alien demons wandering the dark streets of Africa and a human (her mother) who was promiscuous and lived a night life. Left at the mercy of an abusive exorcist, Bianca grew up believing that she was indeed an alien child. This creative nonfiction piece leaves every reader engrossed up until the last page.
